Countable & Uncountable Noun

1.       Countable Noun yaitu kata benda yang dapat dihitung dengan angka. Biasanya daat diubah ke bentuk Plural dengan suplemen akhiran -s.

Contoh:

cat--cats

season--seasons

student--students

2.       Uncountable Noun yaitu kata benda yang tidak dapat dihitung dengan angka. tidak ada bentuk Plural dari Uncountable Noun.

Contoh:

milk

water

air

money

food

Kita tidak dapat menyampaikan  "He had many moneys."

Perbedaan Countable dan Uncountable Noun kuat pada Determiner atau penentu kata benda nya. Mari kita lihat referensi penggunaan Noun Determiner Much/Many dan Some/Any.

 

Some/Any:

Some dan Any dapat dipakai pada Countable Noun maupun Uncountable Noun.

Some dipakai untuk kalimat positif.
